D Bioprinting has gained attention in tissue engineering due to its abil-

ity to spatially control the placement of cells, biomaterials and biologi-

cal molecules. The development of new hydrogel bioinks with good print-

ability and bioactive properties has made it possible to 3D bioprint and

accelerate the maturation of complex 3D tissue-like models. In this talk,

we present our recent work in bioink development for 3D bioprinting and

culture of healthy tissues such as skin, bone and cartilage, as well as cancer

tissues, such as breast cancer and osteosarcoma tissue models.

Jim Engström, J Genet Mol Biol 2019, Volume 3

Jim Engström is a Global Application Spe-

cialist at CELLINK, one of the leading 3D Bi-

oprinting companies in the world founded

in Gothenburg, Sweden. He holds a Master’s

degree in Biology fromGothenburg Universi-

ty. Jim has been working in the biotech/med-

tech field for the past twelve years. His pas-

sion for new innovative technologies led him

to a new career at CELLINK in January 2018.

Jim works closely with his fellow team mem-

bers to support and educate customers and

potential customers in order to help raise

CELLINK’s visibility and to connect world re-
