Jasim Azhivelikkakathu Salim

Dr Salim’s Homeopathy, India

T

he plant is found throughout India and in most tropical countries. It is

common in waste lands, on roadsides and in the forests. Root bark is used

for preparation of the medicine. It has been used by ancient Indian physicians

for its efficacy in respiratory disorders. Dr BK Basu has proved this drug on

himself. He has also recommended in common cold and asthma.

Cassia

sophera

is represented in around 49mind rubrics in synthesis repertory and all

together 1231 rubrics in entire synthesis repertory, yet the medicine remains

underused.

Cassia sophera

is widely used for its anti allergic properties.

Its ability to bring down immunoglobulin E and eosinophilic counts is well

documented. But

Cassia sophera

still remains under proved and underused,

mother tincture earns good results in most of the cases. Central council of

research in homeopathy has given extensive proving of this medicine yet

the clinical use remains restricted. The clinical verification of constitutional

features of

Cassia sophera

is done in the study and many symptoms were

re-confirmed.

Cassia sophera

was used in number of cases from migraine,

sinusitis, IBS, haemorrhoids, Tinea cruris etc and results showed that

Cassia sophera

still remains very much unearthed and underrepresented in

repertory. Illustration of cases in which

Cassia sophera

is successfully used

and available remedy portrait is constructed.
