Oral Cancer
Oral cancer also known as mouth cancer, is cancer of the liner of the lips, mouth, or higher throat. In the mouth, it most typically starts as a painless white patch, that thickens, develops purple patches, an ulcer, and continues to grow. When at the lips, it commonly looks like a chronic crusting ulcer that doesn't heal, and slowly grows. Other signs may include tough or painful swallowing, new lumps or bumps inside the neck, a swelling inside the mouth, or a feeling of numbness within the mouth or lips. Risk factors encompass tobacco and alcohol use. With each tobacco and ingesting alcohol, the hazard of oral most cancers is 15 times greater. Other hazard factors consist of HPV infection, chewing paan, and sun exposure at the decrease lip. Oral cancers are a subgroup of head and neck cancers.
