Gastrectomy

Gastrectomies are performed to treat stomach malignant growth and punctures of the stomach divider. In serious duodenal ulcers it might be important to evacuate the lower part of the stomach called the pylorus and the upper bit of the small digestive system called the duodenum. In the event that there is an adequate segment of the upper duodenum staying a Billroth I technique is performed, where the rest of the part of the stomach is reattached to the duodenum before the bile conduit and the channel of the pancreas. In the event that the stomach can't be reattached to the duodenum a Billroth II is performed, where the rest of the bit of the duodenum is closed, an opening is cut into the following segment of the small digestive tract called the jejunum and the stomach is reattached at this gap.
