Environmental Protection

Environmental protection is that the practice of protecting the natural environment by individuals, organizations and governments. Its objectives are to conserve natural resources and therefore the existing natural environment and, where possible, to repair damage and reverse trends.

Due to the pressure of over consumption, the bio-physical environment, increase and technology, is being degraded, sometimes permanently. This has been recognized, and governments has begun placing activities that cause environmental degradation. Since the 1960s, environmental movements have created more awareness of the multiple environmental problems. There is disagreement on the extent of the environmental impact of act, so protection measures are occasionally debated.

History of environmental protection:

Environmental protection in Tanzania began during the German occupation of East Africa (1884-1919) — colonial conservation laws for the protection of game and forests were enacted, whereby restrictions were placed upon traditional indigenous activities like hunting, firewood collecting, and cattle grazing. In the year 1948, Serengeti has officially established the primary park for wild cats in East Africa.
