Coronary Heart Disease
Coronary heart disease (CHD), or coronary artery disease, grows when the coronary routes become too thin. The coronary arteries are the blood bowls that source oxygen and blood to the heart. CHD tends to grow when cholesterol builds up on the artery walls, creating plaques. These plaques cause the routes to narrow, reducing blood flow to the heart. A clot can occasionally obstruct the blood flow, causing serious health issues. Coronary arteries form the system of blood vessels on the shallow of the heart that feed it oxygen. If these routes narrow, the heart may not accept enough oxygen rich blood, especially during physical action.
