Cerebral Palsy Research Articles

Cerebral palsy may be a group of disorders that have an effect on movement and muscle tone or posture. It's caused by injury that occurs to the immature brain because it develops, most frequently before birth.

Signs and symptoms appear throughout infancy or preschool years. In general, cerebral palsy causes impaired movement related to abnormal reflexes, floppiness or rigidity of the limbs and trunk, abnormal posture, involuntary movements, unsteady walking, or some combination of those.

People with cerebral palsy will have issues swallowing and usually have muscle imbalance, within which the eyes do not focus on constant object. They also may need reduced range of motion at numerous joints of their bodies due to muscle stiffness.
