Air Pollution
Air pollution refers to the discharge of pollutants into the air that are detrimental to human health and therefore the planet as an entire. The Clean Air Act authorizes the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to guard public health by regulating the emissions of those harmful air pollutants. The NRDC has been a leading authority on this law since it had been established in 1970. Burning fossil fuels releases gases and chemicals into the air. And in an especially destructive feedback circuit, pollution not only contributes to global climate change but is additionally exacerbated by it. “Air pollution within the sort of CO2 and methane raises the earth’s temperature,” Walke says. “other type of pollution is then worsened by that increased heat Smog forms when the weather is warmer and there’s more ultraviolet. Global climate change also increases the assembly of allergenic air pollutants including mold and pollen.
