Perinatal lesions of the central nervous system of hypoxicischemic encephalopathy (HIE) - one of the most common conditions of the neonatal period, which in the structure of all perinatal brain lesions reaches 50-60%. Its frequency, according to various authors, ranges from 1.6 to 8 per 1,000 newborns. Their severe consequences lead to the development of disability from childhood in more than 60% of cases. At the present stage, a number of risk factors for HIE have been identified, which can be grouped into the following categories: socio-demographic factors, maternal health, pregnancy and complications, feto-placental complex, fetal condition, delivery and complications, newborn condition, the quality of medical care in health care facilities. At the first stage, we conducted a retrospective analysis of the clinical course of 150 pregnancies and births in women who were born in the maternity wards of Odessa and Odessa region, whose children suffer from cerebral palsy at the age of 2-5 years.
