Abstract:

Piper nigrum is most common spice from our spice box. Piper nigrum belongs to Angiosperm Magnollids, Piper ales family Piperaceae. Black pepper Piper nigrum is native to south India. Also used as cuisine, Piperine is present in this Black white green and pink peppers are present. It is used in traditional medicine, flavoring agent, Pyrrolidines, piperidine, amide safrole (Corinna et.al 2012) are also present. Phytochemicals are naturally occurring chemical compounds (produced Through secondary and primary metabolism), Polyphenols, Carotenoids, flavonoids, Isoflavonoids, lignans, stilbenes, Flavanols, isoflavones, flavanones, flavones, anthocyanins, Anthocyanidins, proanthocyanidins, catechins, epicatechins, Phytoestrogens, Phytosterols, terpenoids, Limonoids, Glucosinolates, Fibers are antiviral and antibacterial some are essential nutrients. Salicin have pain relieving and anti-inflammatory property (willow otc aspirin). Atropa belladonna (Yew - Paclitaxel anticancer drug). Tomato contains lycopene. Allelopathy organisms produce biochemical which can be positive allelopathy or negative allelopathy. Rashmi Sharma is an Associate Professor Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan Government College, India. She has 28 years teaching and Research experience. She has published more than 30 papers in International journals.
