Abstract:

Auriculotherapy is a discipline that uses the auricle for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. We can use different areas located on the auricle to treat various diseases: musculoskeletal disorders, diseases of the digestive system, respiratory system, urinary system, endocrine system. Numerous research has shown the efficacy of acupuncture in the treatment of dependencies and in eating disorders. In this report the author will talk about the techniques that are used in the main musculoskeletal pathologies, the author will present clinical cases treated and explain the use of stimulation techniques and the limits of auriculotherapy in the main musculoskeletal pathologies. The author will explain how to intervene with auriculotherapy in the following diseases: stiff neck, cervical spondylosis, cervicobrachial neuralgia, bruxism, lumbago, lumbosciatica and gonalgia.

Biography:

Francesco Menichelli is specialized in Acupuncture, Auriculotherapy and Aesthetic Medicine. He is Teacher in Acupuncture at the School of Energetic and Traditional Acupuncture of Rome (SAET) and Lecturer at the School of Energetic and Traditional Acupuncture (SAET) at the Universta Vasile Goldis of Arad (Romania). He is the Director of the Auricular Acupuncture School at the University Vasile Goldis of Arad.
