Biography:
Dr. Lesley V. Campbell, Still being a Clinician, my focus has always been on the patient, so she study disease in humans and how to relieve or prevent it. Initially Lesley V. Campbell worked at Garvan Institute on the artificial pancreas with Ted Kraegen and described for the first time the failure of glucose counter-regulation in type 1 diabetes postulating the mechanism. Lesley V. Campbell also describe the first clinical use of low dose insulin infusions for diabetic ketoacidosis (which were pioneered from Garvan).
