Abstract
Food production is a vital aspect of human survival and it has been a constant challenge for humanity to meet the increasing demand for food as the population grows. The traditional method of food production, which is heavily reliant on chemical fertilizers and pesticides, has led to environmental degradation and loss of biodiversity. In addition, the use of monoculture farming, where a single crop is grown in a large area, has also contributed to the decline of soil health and the reduction of crop yields.

Introduction
However, there is a growing movement towards sustainable agriculture, which aims to produce food in an environmentallyfriendly and socially-just way. This approach to food production focuses on the use of natural inputs such as compost and organic matter, and the use of crop rotation and intercropping. These methods help to improve soil health, increase crop yields, and reduce the use of chemical inputs. One of the most promising sustainable agriculture methods is the use of vertical farming. This method involves growing crops in stacked layers, using LED lighting and controlled environment technology. This method allows for year-round crop production, regardless of the weather conditions, and reduces the use of water and pesticides.
