While genetics and environmental factors play important roles in immune function, nutrition also plays a crucial role in supporting a healthy immune system. Micronutrients, such as vitamins and minerals, are essential for immune function and deficiency in these nutrients can impair immune function and increase susceptibility to infections. This article will explore the link between micronutrients and immune function, and the implications for disease prevention and treatment [1].

Micronutrients and immune function

Micronutrients play a critical role in immune function, serving as cofactors and modulators for immune cells and signaling pathways.
