Biography:
Dr. Fatimah Jackson is Professor of Biology and Director of the W. Montague Cobb Research Laboratory at Howard University. She received her Ph.D., M.A., and B.A. from Cornell University. Her doctoral dissertation research was the genetics of malaria in Liberia. She has conducted research on: Human-plant coevolution on the influence of phytochemicals on human metabolic effects and evolutionary processes and Population substructure in peoples of African descent. She invented Ethnogenetic Layering as a computational tool to identify human micro ethnic groups and differential expressions of health disparities. Trained as a human biologist.
