Implementing a simulation curriculum throughout the semesters in a programme for acute care paediatric nurse practitioners.
Acute Care Paediatric Nurse Practitioner (ACPNP) programs are designed to prepare registered
nurses with advanced knowledge and skills to manage and provide care to critically ill children.
Simulation is an important tool for teaching and assessing clinical skills in ACPNP programs.
A simulation curriculum integrated throughout the semesters can provide a structured and
comprehensive approach to the development of clinical skills, knowledge, and confidence in ACPNP
students. In this paper, we will discuss the implementation of a simulation curriculum in an ACPNP
program. Author(s): Shawna Michael
