Discovery to Understanding: The History and Evolution of Cryptosporidiosis
Cryptosporidiosis is a parasitic infection that affects both humans and animals. It is caused by the protozoan Cryptosporidium, which is commonly found in water sources contaminated with fecal matter. The disease has a long history, with reports of outbreaks dating back to the early 20th century. Over time, our understanding of the disease has evolved, and advances in diagnostic methods and treatment options have been made.
