An analysis of vision and memory in healthy and pathological ageing from a neuropsychological perspective.
The authors discuss the history of the various and competing systems of care for older adults as well as current forces for change in older adults' mental health care and coverage. They also discuss obstacles to accessing mental health care brought on by the fragmentation of the American health care system. The article goes on to describe objectives for providing quality mental health services to older persons, and it ends by discussing possible remedies and potential future focus areas for mental health care for the elderly
