A giant rhinolith: an unusual entity
Rhinoliths are calcareous concretions that are formed by the deposition of salts on an in-tranasal foreign body. These are uncommon clinical entities reported in clinical practice as unusual cause of unilateral nasal obstruction and foul smelling nasal discharge. It should be suspected when patient presents with nasal symptoms and found to have stony mass on examination. We report a 65 year old female patient with giant rhinolith on the left nasal cavity with septal perforation which was re-moved by lateral rhinotomy approach.
