Online Proceedings

Above you will find links to the Conference Proceedings which contains all of the proceedings versions and abstracts submitted to the conference (in PDF format).  Please read through the table of contents or use the find option to search for your paper.  While you are there, please read through the other papers submitted that might interest you.  Please contact me and/or the author if there are particular papers you would like to read in full.  In a lot of cases there will be full version available for sharing.

Conference Chat Room

There is also a link to the Conference Chat Room and Message Board.  This system enables you to post comments to the message board, subscribe to certain threads, as well as chat live with other participants.  Since participants are in different time zones, we do not have a set schedule.  However, we recommend that people be available during weekdays from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST if your schedule allows and you wish to chat live with one another.  The message board component will allow you to post messages if you prefer not to chat live.  Remember that all of the papers in the Conference Proceedings have email addresses if you prefer to contact one another individually.  If you have any questions regarding navigation, please let me know.

Conference Program

You will also find a link to the Conference Program.  This would ordinarily be a schedule of presentations, but in this case it is just a list of the papers that have been submitted to the conference.  It might be a good starting point before you dive into the Conference Proceedings.  As far as timing goes, as you can see there is basically a two week window for participation.  This should allow you all ample opportunity to read through all of the papers that interest you and carry on conversations regarding topics of interest, without impending on your personal time.

Conference Awards

The authors of the papers selected as Research Award Winners (and for Journal publication) for the Summer Conference will be contacted individually during the first week of the conference.  We had a lot of high quality papers submitted for consideration this time, which means the competition was steep.  The submissions were ranked and the top 25% selected, which means there are quite a few of you with solid papers that were not selected.  For those of you who did win, you will be sent an official letter via email containing the steps necessary to submit your final version for publication.

For those of you who were not selected to receive awards, we strongly encourage you to follow up after the conference with a Direct Journal Submission by emailing Trey Carland.the paper along with the necessary contact information and Journal to which it is being submitted.  We also be emailing you some brief referee comments.  Keep in mind these will not be as thorough as you might receive from the direct submission process, but we hope you will find them valuable.

Power Point Presentations

Last but not least, the Conference page contains a link to the Power Point presentations that were submitted.  If you have one you would also like to post, please email it to me and I will try to get it online as quickly as I can.

Concluding Remarks

If you have any other questions regarding participation or any other details, please don’t hesitate to drop Trey Carland.an email.  For your convenience, this information can also be found on the Conference web site.  We look forward to your participation.
